My name is Jahlen, an avid user and advocate for the social media platform, TikTok. I feel my voice, along with millions of others, is being undermined by the actions of Senator Tom Cotton. Our access to creativity and free expression through TikTok is threatened and I believe Senator Cotton is a significant factor in this.

Senator Cotton, despite the platform's global user base of over 800 million and its positive influence on individuals worldwide, has positioned himself as a key driving force behind TikTok's potential ban in the United States (source: Wall Street Journal, 2020). This decision stifles the expression of millions and neglects the usage and enjoyment the platform brings for so many, particularly in a time of global distress.

His disregard for the public's opinion, especially that of the younger generation whose use of social media platforms is imbedded in their lifestyle, exposes his detachment from the needs and wants of his constituents.

Senator Cotton's actions have consistently shown his lack of consideration for the choices and freedoms of his people. A leader who does not listen to the voices of those he is supposed to represent does not deserve the power and privilege of public office.
