As a deeply concerned member of the St. Joseph community, I am calling for the immediate recall of Whitney Lanning from our School Board. The behavior exhibited by Ms. Lanning is unprofessional and unsuitable for such an important position in our education system.

Her actions have consistently shown a lack of respect towards children, parents, fellow community members, and co-board members alike. This kind of behavior is not only unacceptable but also detrimental to the healthy functioning and reputation of our school district.

Our schools should be places where everyone feels respected and valued - this includes students, parents, staff members as well as board administrators. However, under Ms. Lanning's tenure on the board, this has not been the case.

The role of a school board member is to serve as a trustee for public education – ensuring that schools are run efficiently and effectively while maintaining high standards for teaching and learning (National School Boards Association). Unfortunately, Ms. Lanning's conduct has proven her unfit to uphold these responsibilities.

Therefore we urge all residents in St Joseph missouri, Buchanan County who care about our local education system to join us in demanding that Whitney Lanning be recalled from her position on the St Joseph School Board immediately.
