Demand the NFL to Correct Officiating Error in Lions vs. Cowboys Game

The Issue

I have been an ardent NFL fan for over 30 years. My passion for this sport has never wavered, but recent events have left me questioning the legitimacy of officiating in the league. The game between the Lions and Cowboys was marred by a glaring officiating mistake that needs to be rectified.

The integrity of any sport lies in its fairness and adherence to rules, which is why it's crucial that such errors are not overlooked or brushed under the carpet. In this particular game, a critical call was missed, potentially altering the outcome of what could have been a fair contest.

Brad Allen lied to the public in his report when he stated #70 reported as eligible and #68 didn't. We have it in camera. Not only that but it's also come to light that Dan Campbell discussed the play with officials before the game.

While human error is inevitable, it's essential for organizations like NFL to take responsibility when mistakes occur and ensure they are corrected promptly. This incident isn't just about one game; it's about maintaining trust among millions of fans who invest their time and emotions into supporting their teams.

We urge the NFL not only to acknowledge this error but also take tangible steps towards rectifying it.

We who sign this vow not to watch another NFL game (other than our home team) or spend any money on things that benefit the NFL including legal gambling, tickets and merchandise.

Unless the NFL does one of these 3 things.

-Enact rule 17 in the NFL Rulebook, and Reverse the win from the Dallas Detroit game to enable a fair contest with the remaining time on the clock after the score reached 21-20 with Detroit in the lead, giving the Lions the ball to kickoff and putting just over 30 seconds on the clock for Dallas to answer that score.

-Award the lions a compensation pick no lower than 2nd round 2024.

-Or write an apology letter to the fans of the NFL admitting this sport is for entertainment purposes and allows refs to sway games to have favorable outcomes for high market teams.

We the undersigned vow this pledge until one of the 3 demands are met.
