Enough Is Enough: Demand Accountability from the Conservative Party of BC Board

Grassroots members are the foundation of the Conservative Party of British Columbia. We volunteer, organize, donate, campaign, defend the party, and dedicate countless hours to advancing the conservative movement. We deserve a party that respects our voices, honours our democratic choices, and remains accountable to its membership.

Instead, many grassroots members feel ignored, dismissed, and betrayed by the current board.

Kerry-Lynne Findlay was chosen by party members to lead. She brought experience, integrity, and a commitment to rebuilding a strong, principled conservative movement. Rather than receiving the support needed to unite and strengthen the party, she reportedly faced relentless internal pressure, personal attacks, bullying, and alleged threats involving both her and her husband.

These allegations are extremely serious and must be independently investigated. If anyone threatened, intimidated, blackmailed, or targeted Kerry-Lynne Findlay or her family to pressure her into resigning, shame on them. Political disagreements never justify threats, cruelty, or attacks against someone’s family. Anyone responsible must be identified and held accountable.

The bullies appear to have gotten what they wanted. Kerry-Lynne Findlay has resigned, grassroots members have been left without answers, and the party’s future is once again being decided behind closed doors.

Now we are seeing the possible return of politicians whom many grassroots members regard as fake conservatives—people who abandoned, attacked, or undermined the movement when their loyalty mattered most. They should not be rewarded with renewed power and influence while the hardworking members who remained loyal are ignored.

Enough is enough.

A party cannot claim to defend democracy while disregarding the democratic will of its own members. It cannot claim to support families while serious allegations involving threats against a leader and her husband remain unanswered. It cannot claim to represent grassroots conservatives while silencing them and returning control to political insiders.

We are calling for the immediate resignation of the current CPBC Party board. We demand a fully independent investigation into every allegation of threats, intimidation, bullying, blackmail, or improper pressure involving Kerry-Lynne Findlay and her husband. The findings should be disclosed to members, subject to appropriate privacy and legal protections, and anyone found responsible for misconduct must be held accountable.

Members also deserve complete transparency about the circumstances that led to Kerry-Lynne Findlay’s resignation. Backroom efforts to restore power to politicians who abandoned or undermined the conservative movement must end. A fair and democratic process should be held to elect a new board that respects grassroots members and remains accountable to them.

This is about more than one leader or one internal disagreement. It is about the character and future of the Conservative Party in BC.

Will this be a party controlled by insiders, intimidation, and backroom deals, or will it be a principled democratic movement led by its members?

The party belongs to the volunteers who knock on doors, make phone calls, attend meetings, donate what they can, defend conservative principles, and continue showing up when the work becomes difficult. Those members deserve answers. They deserve respect. Most importantly, they deserve a meaningful voice in the party they helped build.

We will not remain silent while our elected leader is pushed aside, serious allegations go unanswered, grassroots members are dismissed, and failed political insiders attempt to reclaim control.

If these allegations are substantiated, shame on those who threatened or bullied Kerry-Lynne Findlay. Shame on anyone who targeted her husband or family. Shame on those who enabled such conduct or remained silent to protect their own positions.

It is time for honesty. It is time for accountability. It is time for leadership that respects party members and embodies the conservative principles it claims to represent.
