We are calling for the immediate resignation of the current Board members and Officers of Friends of Manchester Animal Shelter (FMAS). Recent actions by the Board and Officers have caused significant harm to our organization and jeopardized its mission.

Over the past several years, numerous reports have highlighted issues including mismanagement, conflicts of interest, and unethical behavior among the Board members and Officers. These actions have not only tarnished our reputation but also placed our organization's future and the well-being of the animals at severe risk.

Documentation reveals that several Board members have failed to disclose potential conflicts of interest in decisions affecting the organization. Furthermore, there have been allegations of financial mismanagement and misuse of donations by certain officers. The condition of the shelter and the care of the animals have deteriorated, reflecting a disregard for the shelter’s policies and mission.

The current leaderships actions are unacceptable and contrary to the values FMAS upholds. We cannot permit individuals who prioritize personal interests over the welfare of the organization and its animals to remain in positions of power.

We urge all current and former volunteers, employees, donors, and supporters to join us in demanding the resignation of all current Board members and Officers. It is imperative that we bring in new leadership dedicated to upholding our values and advancing our mission.
