As outraged parents, students, and community members, we demand that TVHS High School take swift action to recall the 2023-2024 yearbooks due to the egregious dissemination of false, misleading, and hateful information regarding Israel and the horrific massacre of Jews in October 2023. This deliberate misinformation campaign not only grossly misrepresents historical and current facts but also perpetuates dangerous antisemitic stereotypes and sentiments, which have no place in our educational institutions.
The Unacceptable Issues:
1. Erasure of the State of Israel: The yearbook deliberately mislabels Israel, falsely suggesting the existence of a modern-day "Palestine" in its place. This is a blatant attempt to erase the legitimacy of the State of Israel and is both factually incorrect and deeply offensive, it adheres with the public manifesto of Hamas to annihilate all the jews in Israel and replace it with Palestine.
2. Distortion of Timeline and Events: The yearbook shamelessly claims that Israel started war on Gaza on October 9, 2023, when in fact, in October 9th Israel was still defending itself against thousands of terrorists who flooded Israel. It also fails to accurately depict the brutal and unprovoked massacre on Israeli towns on October 7, 2023, which resulted in the horrific massacre of over 1,100 innocent civilians and the abduction of hundreds.
3. Misleading Claims on Gaza Blockade: The assertion that Israel imposed a total blockade on the Gaza Strip is a malicious distortion of the truth. Despite ongoing conflicts, Israel has consistently allowed daily shipments of essential medicine and food into Gaza, and its military actions are carefully targeted to minimize non-combatant casualties.

The Unforgivable Impact: This vile misinformation campaign deeply traumatizes Jewish students and families at TVHS High School, spreading malicious lies and fostering ignorance and prejudice among other students. These inaccuracies will have long-lasting generational impacts, perpetuating false narratives and fueling the flames of antisemitism.

Our Non-Negotiable Demands: We insist that TVHS High School:
* Immediately recall all distributed yearbooks without delay.
* Remove the erroneous page and/or replace it with accurate information.
* Issue a public apology to the Jewish community and all students affected by this heinous misinformation.

Why Immediate Action is Crucial: Spreading false information and promoting antisemitism in educational materials is utterly unacceptable and must not be tolerated under any circumstances. It inflicts deep harm on students, perpetuates dangerous stereotypes, and misinforms young minds.
