The Issue

With the upcoming Eurovision season officially kicking off for Burgas 2027, it is time to demand real institutional accountability from the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). We are launching a coordinated campaign to demand that the EBU officially and permanently blacklist Eden Golan and her KAN delegation members from entering or participating in any future Eurovision events—whether as artists, jurors, spokespersons, or delegation staff.

🔴 She Should Have Been Disqualified in 2024

Looking back at the official rulebook, Eden Golan should have been disqualified immediately during the Malmö contest. According to the EBU’s own long-standing regulations, any delegation or artist that compromises the safety of other contestants, disrupts the production, or uses the platform for targeted political harassment faces immediate expulsion.

By allowing Golan to stay on stage while forcing multiple nations to lock themselves in their dressing rooms out of fear, the EBU committed the ultimate breach of its own constitution. Disqualifying her then would have saved the contest's integrity; blacklisting her now is the bare minimum the EBU can do to fix their historical failure.

⚠️ Systemic Backstage Harassment & Artist Boycotts:

The Israeli delegation and their state media subjected multiple European artists and cultural icons to systemic psychological harassment, verbal abuse, and hostile provocations. This has been officially verified and condemned by a massive coalition of stars and 2024 participants:

Ncuti Gatwa (UK - Cultural Icon): The Doctor Who and Sex Education superstar officially withdrew from the contest as the UK’s spokesperson in protest of Golan’s toxic presence. If the EBU had rightfully blacklisted Eden Golan from the start, Ncuti Gatwa could have gone ahead and proudly served as the UK spokesperson without compromising his ethical values. The EBU's refusal to act directly cost the contest its highest-profile cultural stars.
Silvester Belt (Lithuania): Explicitly stated that performing right before Israel (Grand Final Position #6) was an absolute nightmare, traumatizing him to the point where he wished Israel's position on stage had been left entirely empty to save his mental health.
Nemo (Switzerland - 2024 Winner): Confirmed that the backstage environment was completely unsafe and lacked any psychological support from the EBU, breaking the trophy as a symbol of fixing the contest's broken values.
Bambie Thug (Ireland): Suffered severe anxiety attacks and was forced to pull out of the final dress rehearsal after KAN incited violence against them on live TV, telling viewers to "prepare their incantations and curses."
Marina Satti (Greece) & Angelina Mango (Italy): Faced intense online harassment and targeted bullying from Israeli media outlets for showing silent solidarity and exhaustion during mandatory press events.
Olly Alexander (UK), Iolanda (Portugal), and Gåte (Norway): Jointly raised their voices against the weaponization of the contest, with iolanda facing immense corporate pressure for showing Palestinian solidarity symbols on her nails during the final.
The Delegation Ultimatum: These artists, alongside six major broadcasting nations, were on the verge of pulling out of the Grand Final due to the hostile environment created solely by Golan's team.
The Double Standard: The EBU showed lightning-fast efficiency when they disqualified Dutch artist Joost Klein over a single verbal incident. Yet, they provided complete institutional immunity to Golan and her team, who spent a week terrorizing other performers.
⚡ In 2027, Things Are Changing—No More Excuses!

The tide is officially turning. For the 2027 contest, the EBU has been forced to implement strict new updates to the rules. Under these new guidelines, aggressive state-backed voting manipulation, online/backstage harassment, and creating a hostile environment are now codified grounds for immediate disqualification. Furthermore, nations involved in armed conflicts are now officially banned from hosting the event even if they win.

Public broadcasters are fighting back too—with Belgium’s VRT already putting its participation on hold over safety and ethical concerns regarding Israel's presence.

If the EBU wants its new 2027 rules to be taken seriously, they cannot grant historical immunity to past abusers. They must enforce their "safe and respectful environment" policy retrospectively against Eden Golan and her team.
