Demand the DOJ investigate Reggie Cummings and Black Travel Movement
The Issue
I am deeply concerned about the continuing reports of financial losses involving Reginald "Reggie" Cummings, the founder of Reggie and Friends Adventures and the Black Travel Movement group. I am one of the people who has personally experienced financial loss and harm. This petition is my call to action to the Department of Justice (DOJ) to fully investigate and bring accountability to Reggie's actions.
These complaints are not new.
In 2019, problems involving Reggie Cummings and Black Travel Movement became widely documented when established media outlets, including ABC News, WUSA9, ABC11, and Inside Edition, reported on travelers who said they had paid thousands of dollars for trips and experiences that were canceled, substantially changed, or not delivered as promised. Individuals have reported similar experiences dating back even further.
The complaints did not end in 2019.
In the years since, consumers have continued to report canceled or undelivered trips and events, promised refunds they say were never received, and significant financial losses. More recently, additional consumers have come forward reporting similar experiences involving new trips and events, as documented in a 2026 investigation by The Shade Room.
Despite years of complaints, media coverage, lawsuits, court proceedings, and reports to consumer protection and law enforcement agencies, Cummings has continued to solicit and accept money for travel and other experiences.
In a written exchange with a person seeking money owed to them, Cummings stated: "I am not the least bit concerned. I am not going to federal prison or even the county jail." A screenshot of that exchange, along with years of independent news coverage, court documents and other public records can be found at:

This is bigger than any one canceled trip or unpaid refund.
When similar complaints span years and involve numerous consumers, they deserve to be examined together. Individual victims know what happened to them. A federal investigation can determine whether those experiences are connected, how many people have been affected, how much money is involved, and whether further action is warranted.
We urge the United States Department of Justice and appropriate federal law-enforcement authorities to investigate Reginald "Reggie" Cummings, Black Travel Movement, Reggie and Friends Adventures, and related activities, determine the full scope of the reported conduct, and take whatever action the evidence and law support.
We are not asking the public to determine guilt. We are asking the authorities with the power to investigate to look at the whole picture.
Please sign this petition and help us demand a thorough federal investigation.
People have been speaking up for years. It is time for someone with the authority to connect the dots.
