This petition is born out of personal experiences and shared stories from a multitude of students and parents in Jacksonville, FL. Ms. Lowery, a teacher in our community, has consistently exhibited unprofessional and disrespectful behavior towards her students. She has been reported to have lied about student grades, manipulated bathroom times, and dismissed the personal hardships faced by her pupils as insignificant.

One student bravely shared their experience stating that their home problems were belittled by Ms. Lowery – an act that not only breaches professional boundaries but also demonstrates a lack of empathy for the challenges children face outside school premises.

Parents are understandably upset with this teacher's conduct; multiple reports have been filed against her due to these incidents. However, despite these numerous complaints from different perspectives, no significant action has been taken yet.

The role of educators extends beyond imparting knowledge; they are entrusted with nurturing young minds and fostering an environment conducive to learning - both acadically and emotionally. A teacher's behavior significantly influences students' academic success as well as their social-emotional development (American Psychological Association). Therefore it is crucial that we hold our educators accountable for their actions.

We believe it is time for decisive action against such damaging behavior within our education system. We urge you to join us in demanding the dismissal of Ms.Lowery from her teaching position due to her consistent unprofessional conduct towards students in Jacksonville schools.
