As a passionate resident and lover of the Mornington Peninsula, I am deeply saddened by the recent actions taken by our council. The decision to host a Harry Potter event at our beloved Briars wildlife sanctuary has left me, along with many others in our community, feeling betrayed and unheard. Our sanctuary is home to countless species of wildlife that are now at risk due to this poorly planned event.

The Mornington Peninsula Council's handling of this situation is just one example in a series of failures that have negatively impacted our community. Time and time again, we have seen decisions made without proper consideration for their consequences or the wishes of those who live here.

Our beautiful peninsula deserves better than this. We deserve a council that listens to its constituents and makes decisions based on what is best for both us as residents and the environment we cherish so much.
