As a concerned parent, whose children are enrolled at Cony Middle and High School, I stand in fear and distress of the current principal, Kim Liscomb. Unfortunately, multiple instances have raised questions about her ability to respect and uphold the civil rights of our children and the decision-making authority of us, as parents. This inappropriate overreach has led to a direct violation of parental rights that cannot be overlooked.

We, the parents and concerned individuals, are dismayed by Kim Liscomb's seeming disregard for the norms in place to ensure that the rights and the welfare of the students are protected. Her proposed measures to limit parental involvement in decisions regarding our own children not only undermine our right to participate actively in their education but also infringe upon the distilled essence of a democratic education system.

Moreover, there have been some disturbing indications suggesting mental health challenges impacting her ability to perform her role effectively and safely. We, as a community, believe utmost importance should be placed on the mental well-being of anyone in a role as significant as a school principal.

For the welfare of our children and the restoration of confidence in the leadership of our educational institution, we demand the immediate removal of Kim Liscomb from her role as principal.
