As a student at Portage High School, I know firsthand how it feels to be reprimanded by parents for poor grades. It's a terrible experience, especially when you're paying attention and still not learning correctly. This is the reality many of us face in Jessica Mann's biology class. Ms. Mann has been accused by numerous students of ineffective teaching methods, leading to confusion and an environment where cheating becomes rampant just to pass tests and assignments.

Last semester, I had an A- in biology - a straight A student. However, since Ms. Mann took over as my teacher, my grade dropped drastically to a D or lower without any change in my effort or dedication towards the subject matter.

This is not an isolated case; several other students have reported similar experiences under her instruction. This situation raises serious concerns about the quality of education we are receiving at Portage High School.

We believe that every student deserves access to quality education and competent teachers who can effectively impart knowledge and foster intellectual growth rather than hinder it.

Therefore, we call on the school administration to take our concerns seriously and dismiss Jessica Mann from her position at Portage High School so that we may have a chance at better grades under more qualified educators.
