As a heartbroken pet owner, I am writing this petition with a heavy heart. My two happy and healthy dogs recently passed away due to consuming Retriever Hi Protein dog food, purchased from Tractor Supply. Their health deteriorated rapidly after starting on this particular diet, and despite our best efforts to save them, it was too much for their bodies to handle.

Retriever had one of its products recalled in April 2020 - the Bites and Bones Adult Complete Nutrition Savory Chicken Flavor dog food. This product was found to contain dangerously high levels of aflatoxin - a toxin produced by certain types of mold that can cause fatal liver damage in dogs. Symptoms include tiredness, lack of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, and a yellowy tint to the eyes or gums.

Given these facts and my personal tragic experience with another product from the same brand - Retriever Hi Protein dog food - I believe it is crucial that we take action now before more innocent lives are lost.

We must demand that Tractor Supply discontinue selling this potentially dangerous product immediately. We owe it not only to our beloved pets who have already suffered but also as a preventative measure for all other pets out there who may be at risk.

Aren't there laws and regulations that prevent this kind of thing? For crying out loud, if the company wants to save money all they have to do is stop putting food coloring in the food.
