Demand the AMA to Terminate Contract with Grid Towing Due to Unethical Practices

The Issue

I am a resident of Edmonton, AB, Canada and have personally experienced the unethical practices of GRID Towing. They are currently contracted with AMA (Alberta Motor Association) and are using this partnership to exploit accident victims by claiming they're associated with AMA. This prevents customers from calling their own towing providers, which is not only unfair but also against the principles of free choice and competition.

Grid Towing's actions have caused distress among many Edmontonians who feel deceived and manipulated in their moments of vulnerability post-accidents. It is crucial for us to ensure that businesses operate ethically and respect consumer rights.

According to a report by CBC News in 2019, there were numerous complaints about predatory towing practices in Alberta, highlighting the need for stricter regulations (source: CBC News). While it's not specified if these complaints were directed at Grid specifically, it underscores the importance of holding all companies accountable for their actions.

We urge AMA to reconsider its contract with GRID  Towing due to these unethical business practices. By doing so, we can protect consumers' rights and promote fair business operations within our community. Please sign this petition if you believe in standing up against unethical business practices and protecting consumer rights.
