Dense Breasts Canada continues to advocate for reform to the Canadian Task Force and breast cancer screening guidelines. These guidelines are based on flawed 30 year old data and do not recognize current evidence showing the benefits of screening and early detection. They do not take racial disparities into account.
We have had numerous meetings with federal MPs, as well as the Health Minister's Chief of Staff, the Health Minister's Director of Policy and leadership at the Public Health Agency of Canada. We have told them that these guidelines are resulting in the deaths of Canadian women.
We continue to advocate, but need the voices of Canadians to amplify the message beyond this petition. We ask you to complete this survey and share your screening experiences in the comments. Please share the survey also. Your voice matters and can show the Canadian government the impact of dangerous guidelines. The survey is anonymous. Thank you.
