The Canadian Task Force spokespeople continue to focus on how the new guidelines encourage shared decision-making between doctor and patient. BUT shared decision-making requires accurate information! The information given to women and doctors is misleading and based on flawed, decades old data. Dr. Seely states, "Incredibly, these new guidelines were issued without the involvement of an expert in breast diagnosis or treatment. Instead, the panel involved family doctors, nurses, a chiropractor, an occupational therapist and a nephrologist (kidney specialist)."  Please help us get the message to the Minister of Health that these guidelines will cost lives. Our next milestone where the Minister will be notified is 50 000 signatures. Please share and help us get there. Thank you!
