Petition updateDemand Thames River Boats to run in November/December for Christmas cruises by the 2030s!

All our signatures are coming in beautifully, naturally and organically and I've not once had to promote the campaign since unlocking it on Thursday 3rd September

We now have more signatures than the total amount of money I've used to chip in to promote the campaign (which is roughly £240), though at the start of the campaign I chipped in £25 because that is the same price as the cruise from Hampton Court to Westminster using Thames River Boats.

While we can't stop the 2026/7 winter seasonal shutdown of non-tidal and upper tidal river services, we can continue to gather support and signatures and hopefully reach our 300 signature milestone, having now reached 258 signatures (hence I have renamed my campaign's title "by the 2030s") since this is a multi-year project which allows for a higher pier at Hampton Court Landing Stage to be built and for the Environment Agency to review maintenance schedules at Teddington Lock.

Aside from tourist cruises, keeping non-tidal and upper tidal river services in operation will drastically reduce fare evasion and lost revenue on the TfL network, and serve as alternative  transport means during TfL train, tube and bus strikes (unless Thames River Boats strike of course)!

We are now on the "non-tidal" section of our campaign, with free flowing momentum after a rough few months with several campaign closures. Unless a disaster happens and our "boat" capsizes, there is no plan to close this petition any time soon!

Please keep signing!
