I have witnessed firsthand the disheartening state of leadership in our school district under the current School Board President, Tammie Sebastian. This is a critical issue that deeply affects our community, as her failure to maintain public confidence has undeniably led to a significant erosion of trust. Our school's leadership should be transparent, accountable, and truly representative of the needs and values of our students, parents, and taxpayers. Sadly, under the current leadership, this is far from reality.

One of the most concerning actions of the School Board President has been the violation of First Amendment rights during public commentary. By discriminating against speakers based on viewpoint and even removing speakers, Tammie Sebastian has displayed a concerning disregard for fundamental rights. This apparent censorship not only stifles important discourse but damages the democratic foundations of our community engagement processes.

Transparency and accountability are the bedrocks of effective governance, particularly in our schools where decisions impact the education and wellbeing of our children. Unfortunately, the actions of President Sebastian have been inconsistent with these essential principles, resulting in decisions that lack clarity and credibility. The division and loss of trust brought about by these actions are not the traits of a leadership dedicated to improving our schools or fostering a nurturing environment for our children’s growth. To restore faith and ensure our school district is governed by principles reflecting the best interests of our community, it is imperative that Tammie Sebastian resigns as School Board President.
