Demand Stricter Regulations for Animal Care in Veterinary Practices

The Issue

On 16th December when we experienced a worrying incident. We had a new litter of 5 kittens, one of them, a six-week-old named Buddy fell seriously sick. Despite our financial limitations, we took him to a private vet and underwent a treatment costing £500. The vet recommended us to continue Buddy's treatment in the PDSA. Unfortunately, their evaluations were superficial; they justified sending Buddy home because he had eaten a little. Buddy then only lasted for a short amount of time and he passed away This matter is personal to us; no pet parent should go through such agony

Our story underscores a massive issue in the broader scope of animal care practices - where animals are not cared for the value they bring to our lives, but often undermined due to financial woes. The treatment of animals should be paramount, not an afterthought. Unfortunately, we lack strict regulations in place that ensure animals get the essential care they deserve despite their owners' financial circumstances.

As a society, we should respect the value of creatures big and small, ensuring they receive ample and necessary care on time.

We can do better. We must do better—for Buddy and for all the fur babies  out there. Please, sign this petition as a call to action demanding stringent animal care regulations in veterinary practices nationwide. With your help, we can influence legislation that will treat animals not just for the money they bring, but as the priority they deserve to be they are more than just an animal there our world and become part of our famliy!!
