Demand State Farm to Remove "Bundle-Rooski" Advertisement

The Issue

As a fervid follower of NFL football, I've noticed an insidious trend that is plaguing our screens and minds alike. It's not just the bogus narrative of the seemingly invincible Chiefs, perceived by many including myself as a contrived storyline hatched in the absence of Tom Brady. It's not just the uncanny success of said team, raising suspicion about the integrity of the very game we love. The focal point of our concern is an advertisement—State Farm's "Bundle-Rooski" act—featuring Chiefs coach Andy Reid and “star” quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

This advertisement, with its cringeworthy humor and subpar acting, adds an extra layer of frustration to the mix. The annoyance is as much about the Chiefs' questionable dominance as it is about this commercial. Their presence on the field dismays us given the growing suspicion of the games' outcomes, and the commercial's continuous airing feels like a constant reminder, contributing to a sense of psychological wear.

Many share this sentiment, this frustration—our love for football has become a battlefield, usurped by monopolistic commercial affairs and questionable league tactics. To be clear, we are not trying to stifle anyone's success or marketing efforts, but we do want to preserve the integrity of the sport and the sanctity of our viewing experience.

Call for fairness and voice your discontent at the saturation of our beloved football with interests that dishearten true fans. Let’s get a head start on taking back the game we have chosen to love so much (and not a false start like Juwaan Taylor). Sign this petition to request State Farm stop airing the "Bundle-Rooski" advertisement. Together, we can reclaim our screens, our minds, and, hopefully, the integrity of NFL football. We may be forced to accept the sacrifices that have been made to create an entertaining league, but we will not accept the boastful acts such as this despicable advertisement that throws it right in our faces. It is wrong. It is psychological abuse.
