The menu items were unlike anything offered back home, particularly at Starbucks with their Sakura-flavored Frappuccinos and other limited-edition drinks. It's baffling that these companies do not see the potential profit in offering these same menu items in the U.S.
These exclusive beverages are not only delicious but also provide an opportunity for people on this side of the world to experience a taste of Japanese culture. There is a significant interest among Americans towards Japan's rich culture; according to a survey by Pew Research Center, 68% of Americans view Japan favorably (Pew Research Center, 2020). This suggests that introducing such unique offerings could be well-received by many.
Starbucks has always been about more than just coffee; it's about creating experiences and bringing people together over shared tastes. By expanding their menu with items from Starbucks Japan, they can create new experiences for customers while also tapping into an untapped market segment.
