I am a long-time listener of SiriusXM. I remember back in 2001 when XM satellite radio had around 100 channels with CD quality audio. It was a golden era for music lovers like me, who could enjoy their favorite tunes in the best possible quality. However, things changed drastically after the merger of Sirius and XM in 2008. The bitrate was lowered, and the audio quality started to suffer.

Fast forward to today, in 2024, the audio quality has deteriorated so much that SXM lost half a million Subscribers due to poor sound fidelity. This is not just about nostalgia or personal preference; it's about preserving the integrity of music and providing listeners with an experience they deserve.

Music is meant to be enjoyed at its finest – every note clear, every instrument distinct. Lowering bitrate reduces this clarity and richness of sound that we used to love about XM That has since been lost in SXM.

We understand that there may be technical or financial reasons behind this decision made years ago but now as technology has advanced significantly since then - it's time for change!

Let us remind SiriusXM of their commitment towards providing high-quality entertainment services by restoring their original bitrate and bringing back CD-quality music on all channels.
