Ever since the PPL Corporation bought out The Narragansett Electric Company from National Grid for "approximately $3.8 billion and approximately $1.5 billion in debt" (GoLocalProv) Rhode Islanders have seen sharp increases to their delivery services. Many of them have larger delivery services than supply services. Even though we already pay these high prices, Rhode Island Energy is proposing increasing their costs 47%. This can't go on any longer!  

The goal of this petition is to get 100,000 signatures from Rhode Islanders, by November 1st, demanding Rhode Island Energy cap their delivery services at 15% of the supply services. If Rhode Island Energy refuses, we will ALL stop paying our energy bills for one month.

Rhode Islanders are struggling to pay their electric and heating bills. They've seen their bills more than double in a matter of a few years. We can not allow Rhode Island Energy to force struggling Rhode Islanders to choose between heat or food this winter.

We're calling on all Rhode Islanders to sign this petition and demand Rhode Island Energy caps their delivery charges!

We're also calling on our state representatives to take action on these rising costs!
