Residents of Mount Savage, MD have been promised a cell phone tower to improve connectivity and service in our community. However, despite these promises, we are still waiting for this critical infrastructure to be completed.  This lack of reliable cell service has created dangerous gaps in communication, putting public safety at risk and hindering the use of vital emergency equipment for our first responders.

As many communites, we rely on our cell phones to stay connected with loved ones, access important information, and call for help in emergencies. But far too often, our calls drop, texts fail to send, and we're left stranded without a reliable way to communicate. This is unacceptable - our community deserves the same access to modern technology as other areas. 

• In 2022, the town was told a cell tower would be built to improve coverage, but construction has yet to begin. 

• Poor cell service has prevented first responders from utilizing essential communication equipment, potentially putting lives at risk. 

• Many residents have lost out on the opportunity to participate in delivery services due to the lack of cell service available to delivery drivers. 

• Many residents, especially those living in remote areas, are cut off from vital communication services and the ability to communicate with loved ones in the event of an emergency when internet services and/or land lines are down. 

 By signing this petition, you are demanding that local officials and telecommunication providers take immediate action to build a cell tower and provide reliable, high-quality cell service to the Mount Savage community. Our town has waited long enough - it's time for us to have the connectivity we were promised and deserve.
