As a concerned Australian, I am deeply troubled by the current state of our publicly owned institution, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). The ABC Board has allowed bias in news and broadcasting, poor workplace culture, bigotry, elitism and racism to persist under its current management. This is not only unacceptable but also a betrayal of trust for Australians who rely on this organisation for unbiased information vital to their communities.

The evidence is clear in online, radio and television ratings that Australians are losing faith in ABC. The blatant hypocrisy displayed by the organisation is causing significant damage to its reputation. It's alarming that an entity meant to serve public interest has strayed so far from its charter.

This petition calls on the ABC Board to take drastic action against this mismanagement. We demand immediate reform and accountability from those at helm. We insist on a return to unbiased reporting, improved workplace culture and an end to bigotry within ABC.

MEAA Union members at the ABC have also recently passed a vote of no confidence in managing director David Anderson for failing to defend the integrity of the ABC and its staff from outside attacks.
