Demand Quebec Provincial Police to Stop Discriminating Against Non-Quebec Drivers

Demand Quebec Provincial Police to Stop Discriminating Against Non-Quebec Drivers
The Issue
My name is Georges, an everyday citizen and one-time resident of Quebec who moved to Ontario in 1982. Despite being a law-abiding citizen, I've been stopped three times in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec over the last three years for various "driving infractions" simply because of my Ontario license plate. I have received two traffic tickets in Ontario all these 42 years. This consistent targeting and harassment by the Quebec Provincial Police (QPP) towards non-Quebec drivers is unjust and needs to stop.
There is a pattern of racial profiling that seems to follow one disturbing trend: if you have a license plate that isn't from Quebec, you're more than likely to be stopped. This flagrant discrimination only serves to cause trouble and animosity, while leading to unnecessary confrontations between police and drivers.
We, as Canadian citizens, have the right to fair treatment from our law enforcement, regardless of our province of residence. It's time for the QPP to review and alter their practices to ensure they stop targeting drivers based on their license plates.
We demand the Quebec Provincial Police to end discrimination against non-Quebec drivers. Let's take a stand against this needless harassment and make our roads safer and fairer for all. I urge you to sign this petition. Together, we can make a change.
