Demand Provision of Free Menstrual Products for All

Demand Provision of Free Menstrual Products for All
The Issue
My struggle with severe menstruation pain and the financial burden of period products is a reality for so many of us. Every month, I spend a considerable amount on necessary products as well as medication to alleviate the pain. However, not everyone is fortunate to meet this demanding expense. A significant number of us are left questioning if we should utilize our limited resources on a meal for our family or on necessary period products.
Consider those living in poverty, or those who are homeless. The expense becomes a luxury they cannot afford, pushing them into a distressing and unhealthy reality known as 'period poverty.' In the UK alone, 10% of girls have been unable to afford period products according to Plan International UK, demonstrating the widespread nature of this crisis.
It is high time we end this menstrual inequity. Let us demand our governments take action to make period products freely available to everyone in need. This is not merely an issue of health, but also of dignity. We urge the world to no longer ignore this silent epidemic, but stand together to ensure that no one is penalized for a natural biological process.
Please sign this petition and join us in our fight against period poverty.
