After the unfortunate incident of July 18th, the Maruti-Suzuki management, Government of Haryana and the corporate media have unilaterally declared the workers as ‘criminal’ and ‘murderers’ and 149 workers are therefore now in jail. The report of Human Rights organization PUDR also reveals the fact that workers have been subjected to barbaric torture in police custody in an attempt to extract a confession. It is clear that Haryana Government, Maruti-Suzuki management and the police administration have shelved all the constitutional rights of the workers in this entire proceeding directed at suppression of workers. Thus, now it is resposibility of every justice loving and sensitive citizen of India to stand and support the struggle of Workers of Maruti Suzuki.
