Ukraine needs your voice right now. Netflix is streaming Russia’s “Masha and the Bear” children's series while Russia wages its full‑scale war against Ukraine. This cartoon may look cute, but it’s one of Russia’s biggest soft‑power exports and it is aimed at children. This series makes the “Russian bear” look harmless and cuddly while the real Russian bear is destroying Ukrainian cities and killing families and children.

This isn’t neutral. It’s painful. And it’s wrong. Streaming Russian-produced children’s content has serious ethical weight during Russia's war of aggression.

Netflix has responded before to global events, human rights concerns, and public feedback. Removing Masha and the Bear would be another meaningful step toward aligning its content with the value of accountability and support for peace.

Countries globally have imposed sanctions on Russia, and businesses have withdrawn their services in response to Russia’s invasion. Ask Netflix join them by removing Masha and the Bear until the invasion ends. This is simple action would let Netflix show solidarity with Ukraine, its families and its children.
