Former NFL player LeShon Johnson has been indicted for allegedly running one of the largest dogfighting operations in U.S. history. With a prior conviction for animal fighting charges in 2004, he was given a deferred sentence, allowing him to continue his cruelty unchecked.

The system failed these animals once before.

We cannot allow it to happen again.

Johnson allegedly operated "Mal Kant Kennels," where he bred, sold, and transported dogs for fights, profiting from their pain and suffering. The Justice Department reports that some of the dogs he bred had won as many as five fights, meaning they endured repeated torture for the sake of blood sport. Authorities seized 190 dogs, a heartbreaking number that represents countless more that suffered and died in his operation.

This is not just animal cruelty; this is organized crime, and it must be treated as such.

We demand that the Department of Justice prosecute LeShon Johnson to the fullest extent of the law. Sign this petition to demand justice for these innocent animals and ensure that LeShon Johnson is never allowed to harm another living being again.
