As a concerned parent, I am deeply disturbed by the content my child is being exposed to on Discord. The platform has become a breeding ground for predatory behavior and violent role-play scenarios that are not suitable for young minds. My child, like many others, is being influenced by these disturbing interactions, leading to her asking me about violent scenarios out of nowhere. It's alarming and unacceptable.

Discord is an application that allows users to communicate via text messages, voice calls, video calls and share media in private chats or as part of communities called "servers". With over 140 million monthly active users worldwide (source: Statista), it's clear that this platform has an enormous reach.

However, there are no effective age restrictions in place. Anyone can create an account without having to verify their age which leaves children vulnerable to inappropriate content and potential predators.

I believe it's time we demand change from Discord. They need to implement mandatory age verification using ID proof during account creation or face permanent banishment from our devices and lives.

This isn't just about protecting my child - it's about safeguarding all children who use this platform from harmful content they're too young to process appropriately.
