This petition calls for Konami, a leading gaming and entertainment company, to change the Trading Card Game's (TCG) core sets to become a 1:1 match of the Official Card Game's (OCG) core sets. The TCG and OCG, owned by Konami, differ significantly in terms of card availability. It's a prevalent issue affecting many TCG players around the globe as they feel marginalized by the discrepancies between the two versions of the same set. Many TCG players fear they're being excluded or "priced out of the game" due to Konami's practice of changing the rarity of the powerful cards from an OCG set to be a higher rarity in the same TCG set, making them harder to access and more expensive on the secondary market. While Konami cannot directly dictate how much a card sells for on the secondary market, they can make the cards more accessible from packs, thus lowering the price of the cards on the secondary market. By aligning the TCG core sets with those of the OCG core sets, we believe that this will create fairness, unity, and equivalent competitiveness within the TCG community. We must address this issue promptly to protect the integrity of the game and the satisfaction of players. Therefore, we call upon Konami to address this disparity, bringing equality to TCG players around the globe by modifying TCG's core sets to mirror that of the OCG's.
