Yashree's private parts were badly crushed. There were several blows on the body. When the murderer was revealed, everyone was shocked. Yashree was murdered by none other than a man Mohammed Dawood Shaikh. Dawood Shaikh had sexually assaulted Yashashree at the age of 15 and was jailed in a POCSO case.

At just 20 years old, Yashashri's life was taken from her cruelly and without reason, found stabbed to death on the side of the road in Uran, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her murderer, Dawood Shaikh, is yet to face the full extent of justice for this abhorrent crime.

According to the data from National Crime Records Bureau, cases of violent crimes against women have alarmingly risen in recent years. Yashashri's life was stolen too soon, she had dreams, ambitions, and a full life ahead that was unjustly cut short. Justice for Yashashri's gruesome murder calls for the strictest penalty: execution for her murderer, Dawood Shaikh.

We cannot bring Yashashri back, but we can try to bring about justice. We owe it to her memory to ensure Dawood Shaikh pays for his abominable actions. We call upon the judiciary, the local, state, and national government, and all relevant authorities, to ensure Dawood Shaikh is sentenced to death for his inhumane crime.
