[Redacted] was a vibrant 15-year-old girl whose life was tragically cut short by Timothy Doll. But the tragedy of this young girls story extends far beyond this heinous act. This teenage girl suffered from a lifetime of unimaginable neglect and abuse at the hands of the person that [Redacted] should have been able to trust and rely on most. Those who knew and loved [Redacted], along with many members of our community, believe that justice for this beautiful girl whose life was tragically cut short, doesn't end with Timothy Doll's conviction.

[Redacted] murder was not just a singular act; it was the culmination of years of neglect and abuse that could and should have been prevented;  had [Redacted] had received proper care. We firmly believe that if [Redacted] legal guardian had fulfilled [Redacted] moral duty, our dearly departed may still be alive today. 

Child neglect is an insidious problem in our society - according to Childhelp.org, approximately 4.1 million reports involving about 7.4 million children were made to child protective services concerning child abuse in 2017 alone in America (source: Childhelp.org). This statistic is heartbreaking proof that more children than we realize suffer from neglect and abuse right under their own roofs.

We are calling on our local law enforcement agencies and prosecutors to charge the young girls catetaker with negligent homicide - because [Redacted] legal guardian failed in [Redacted] duty as a parent which led indirectly to the loss of an innocent life.

This petition is personal because every child deserves love, care, protection – things that were denied to my dear friend.
