Demand justice for my husband

Demand justice for my husband

The Issue

My boyfriend was unfairly arrested and charged with assault after standing up for himself against four attackers. He was subjected to a brutal and racially motivated attack where they repeatedly called him the N word, hit him in the face and shins, and even threw wood at him. It all happened in Washington State, where he was boxed in around a fence with no way to escape. In an act of self-defense, he fought back to protect himself, but now he's the one facing charges. This incident is a clear hate crime, and it’s appalling that the real aggressors are not being held accountable. Washington State has a 'Stand Your Ground' law intended to protect individuals who defend themselves. It is unacceptable that this protection isn't being extended to my husband. According to the FBI's most recent statistics, hate crimes are on the rise, and incidents like this must not be ignored or mishandled by the justice system. My husband deserves to have his charges dropped, and those who attacked him should be arrested and charged accordingly. Justice must not be selective, and the law should apply equally to all. We urge the police and legal authorities in Washington State to reevaluate my husband's case, drop the charges against him, and take immediate action against the individuals who attacked him. Racially motivated violence cannot be tolerated, and it is crucial that justice is served to prevent such injustices in the future. Please sign this petition to demand justice for my husband and ensure that hate crimes are prosecuted fairly and with integrity. Together, we can make a difference and stand against racial injustice and inequality in our legal system.
