King Kong Deserved Better – Demand Justice Now! 

Dear Supporters,

We are heartbroken to inform you that King Kong, the gentle community cat of Yishun, was found viciously tortured and killed. His injuries were horrific—disembowelment and eye gouging. No animal should ever suffer like this.

King Kong was a familiar and loved presence in the neighbourhood. He trusted humans, and that trust was betrayed in the cruelest way possible. His death is not just tragic—it’s a wake-up call.

Minister K. Shanmugam has publicly condemned this brutal act, describing it as “deeply disturbing.” But condemnation is only the beginning. What we need now is action.

We call on the authorities to:

Investigate King Kong’s death thoroughly and urgently
Prosecute those responsible to the fullest extent of the law
Strengthen laws protecting community animals and prevent such cruelty from ever happening again

To all who knew and loved King Kong—or who simply believe in compassion and justice—please stand with us. Sign, share, speak up. Let King Kong’s suffering lead to change.

🌈Run free victims of AMK cat murder by BARRIE LIN!! This is no different from the horrors Luka Magnotta and Jeffrey Dahmer inflicted on their victims! No innocent being—human or cat—should ever face such brutality! The law enforcements needs to BE STRICKEN. I don’t care how educated or rich someone is, the law should apply equally to everyone. JUSTICE IS JUSTICE , and it needs to be served, STRICTLY enforced, no exceptions!

As a dedicated animal lover and a cat owner. It pains me to share the devastating news of the brutal slashing of a beloved community cat, Field Field on the 7th of October 2024.💐🌈

This innocent soul was not just mutilated but moreover, heartlessly thrown off a Whampoa HDB block from the 38th storey by RYAN TAN YI BIN. To further compound our grief, we have come to know of four other innocent cats subjected to similar horrific acts of cruelty (all of them slashed, including one that was kicked and suffered a fractured hip). 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Field Field was not just any stray cat; she was cared for deeply by the local community. When she previously fell sick, her caretakers came together and generously spent ~$10,000 on her medical fees to nurse her back to health. Just as she recovered and beginning to thrive again, this innocent cat was brutally murdered, cutting short the life that so many had fought to save.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Similarly, the four other victims from Toa Payoh (23rd of September 2024) have been left in dire conditions, and their caretakers, along with the community, have initiated fundraisers to cover 2 of the victims vet fees amounting to ~$5000, not forgetting another 2 victims that were sent to SPCA too. 

 

 

 

 

 

The emotional and financial toll on the caretakers and community is immense, but they continue to come together to support these innocent lives.. Perpetrators should be held accountable for compensating the full amount.

Regrettably, such inhuman acts are not isolated incidences. According to The Animal Legal Defence Fund, each year thousands of animals fall victim to violent acts of cruelty. It is clear that more needs to be done to punish and deter such heinous behaviour.

Outrageously, the legal ramifications for these crimes often remain disproportionately lenient. Claims of an unsound mind can sometimes be used as an excuse, but if the perpetrator is found to not be of unsound mind, then there is no doubt that they are acting with cruelty beyond human comprehension— evil. 

We need to demand strict accountability for these horrific acts to ensure that such cruelty is not tolerated in our society. By doing so, we can help maintain Singapore’s reputation as a safe and humane country. After all, if perpetrators of animal cruelty are left unchecked, there is a potential risk for them to harm other vulnerable beings in our community—be it children, the elderly, or other human beings.

You can help us call upon the judicial system for more severe punishment to be meted out in animal cruelty cases. This would serve as a fitting deterrent and showcase our society’s respect and compassion for all living creatures. Stand with us in saying a firm “No More” to animal cruelty.
