Demand Justice for Jackson Chama and Others , Unjustly Imprisoned in Zambia

The Issue

I am deeply disturbed by the erosion of human rights and selective justice that is currently plaguing my home country of Zambia. This issue has personally affected me through the unjust imprisonment of Jackson Chama, a man who dared to verbalize the truth. Torn from his family in Lusaka, he was subjected to an illegitimate kangaroo court in a remote and hostile part of Zambia. He now finds himself incarcerated with criminals, his only crime being speaking out against injustice.

Zambia is known as a beacon of peace and stability in Africa; however, this incident paints a different picture. In recent years there have been increasing reports about selective justice targeted at members of certain tribes (Source: Human Rights Watch). This undermines our democratic values and threatens our unity as a nation.

Jackson's case is not isolated but represents an alarming trend that needs immediate attention. Other cases such as Hon Jay Jay Banda and Why Me have similar modus operandi. We must stand together for justice for Jackson Chama and all others who are suffering due to this biased system.

By signing this petition, you are lending your voice to demand fair treatment for all Zambians irrespective of their tribe or political affiliation. Let us unite against these injustices and uphold the principles upon which our great nation was founded on - equality, fairness, and respect for human rights. Please sign this petition today!
