PLEASE DO NOT PAY TO DONATE WE JUST NEED YOU TO SIGN. YOU CAN SCROLL DOWN AND BYPASS THE DONATE MONEY PORTIONI have worked in healthcare for years and was one of the youngest in the state of Tennessee to manage three homes at the tender age of 19. With my extensive background and unwavering dedication to providing superior care, I would never have allowed the horror that befell Windy Duenas' mother to occur. She fell victim to unimaginable cruelty at the hands of someone who was hired to help her—a supposed family friend—that resorted to actions that no caregiver should ever be capable of.

Within the confines of what should have been a safe haven, Windy’s mother, a vulnerable woman suffering from dementia, endured emotional, physical, and mental abuse. This caregiver, instead of offering compassion and support, committed unforgivable acts of violence and neglect. This included hitting her in the face under the guise of swatting a fly, and leaving her helpless on the ground after a fall while prioritizing trivial tasks over human life.

Furthermore, video evidence captures the caregiver yelling at her, belittling her, and failing to uphold the basic duties of care. This violation of trust not only defies ethical standards but demands rectification. Dementia patients deserve dignity and respect, free from abuse and neglect, particularly from those entrusted to their care.

This petition calls for the District Attorney’s Office in Kern County, CA, to thoroughly investigate and bring charges against the abusive caregiver. We demand justice for Windy Duenas' mother, and assurance that such heinous actions are met with legal consequence.

Stand with us against elder abuse and support a future where no family has to endure such trauma. Your signature on this petition can help ensure that justice is served, and that care facilities and caregivers are held accountable in protecting the vulnerable members of our community. Please sign and share this petition to bring awareness and change to Kern County.
