Malia M. Cohen is an influential American politician currently serving as the 33rd Controller of California, a position she has held since 2023. A dedicated member of the Democratic Party, Cohen has distinguished herself in various significant roles throughout her career. She was the Chair of the California State Board of Equalization for the 2nd district from 2019 to 2023 and served as a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors from 2011 to 2019, where she assumed the presidency from 2018 to 2019.
