We sincerely hope that the tragic death of Field Field, the beloved Whampoa community cat, will not be in vain. We are relieved that the four Toa Payoh stabbing victims are safe. May no more community cats be harmed, and with the upcoming general election, we urge the authorities to strengthen measures against animal abuse.

On a positive note, all the cats that were slashed in Toa Payoh have since been adopted and are now safe and well.
