They said it was “just online.” But we lost lives, identities, and peace of mind. Digital crimes are not invisible—they leave scars, steal futures, and silence voices. When harassment leads to suicide, when the elderly lose their life savings, when survivors are told there’s no proof—that’s not a glitch. That’s violence.
We need a universal law that protects every person behind every screen. Because the internet is global, and justice should be too.
Digital crimes are not just technical violations—they are acts of violence. When online harassment, identity theft, or financial exploitation leads to suicide, severe mental harm, or the loss of someone’s life savings, it must be treated with the gravity it deserves. Elderly people are being targeted and devastated. Children and disabled individuals are being exploited. Survivors are being gaslit and told there’s “no way to prove” who harmed them.
We demand a universal law that recognizes the real-world impact of internet crimes. This law must:
Hold perpetrators accountable across borders
Treat digital abuse as a form of psychological and financial violence
Protect vulnerable populations from targeted exploitation
Ensure survivors are believed, not dismissed
Justice should not depend on geography. The internet is global—our protections must be too.
