I, Rabbi Cohen Avraham, make this statement for the assistance of the Court in the above matter.
I have known Ms. Elisabeta Moldovan personally for approximately five years through her regular involvement in the community and through consistent personal interaction during that time.
I understand that within these proceedings, allegations have been made which suggest that Ms. Moldovan is mentally unstable, irrational, or behaves in a manner that would make her an unreliable parent. I wish to state clearly and unequivocally that such descriptions are entirely inconsistent with the person I have known for the past five years.
Throughout this time, I have found Ms. Moldovan to be:
Calm and thoughtful in her speech and behaviour
Emotionally balanced and rational in her thinking
Respectful and appropriate in her interactions with others
Responsible, organised, and attentive in matters concerning her child
Someone who seeks advice and guidance in a measured and appropriate way when under stress
As a Rabbi, I am regularly approached by members of the community during periods of personal difficulty. This has given me considerable experience in recognising signs of emotional distress, instability, or irrational conduct. Ms. Moldovan has never presented in such a way.
On the contrary, she has consistently demonstrated composure, clarity of mind, and a deep and genuine concern for the wellbeing of her child.
I have personally observed her interactions with her child and have seen a caring, patient, and attentive mother who prioritises her child’s needs above her own.
At no time in the past five years have I witnessed any behaviour that could reasonably be described as erratic, unstable, irrational, or “crazy.” Any portrayal of her in this manner does not reflect my direct experience of her character and conduct.
I make this statement truthfully to assist the Court and based solely on my own personal knowledge of Ms. Moldovan.
Rabbi Cohen Avraham
