The Issue

This petition is an urgent call for protection, respect, and justice for a young autistic boy with a big heart  who has been suffering from ongoing and deeply concerning bullying. These incidents are not limited to one place — they have been happening at horizon high school, on the school bus, and even within his own condominium community, often involving the same children. This repeated behavior makes the situation even more serious and alarming.

Despite reports and concerns being raised, the school has taken insufficient action to protect this vulnerable student. The bullying continues unchecked, leaving the boy in a state of distress and fear, unable to enjoy the simple joys of childhood. It is our collective responsibility as a community to ensure that every child feels safe, respected, and supported in their environment.

We call upon the school administration, local authorities, and community leaders to take decisive and immediate action. Implementing comprehensive anti-bullying policies, providing appropriate training for staff, and establishing a clear protocol for reporting and addressing such incidents are essential steps towards creating a supportive and safe environment for all students.

Additionally, there needs to be increased supervision on the school bus and around the community. Regular workshops on empathy and respect should be conducted for all students to educate them about the impacts of bullying, especially on those who are autistic or otherwise neurodivergent.

Let us stand together to protect this boy and set a precedent for zero tolerance towards bullying. We have the power to create an accepting, understanding, and empowered community. Please lend your voice to this cause and help bring about the necessary change.

Sign this petition to demand justice and protection for a young autistic boy who deserves a peaceful and secure childhood.
