Thank you to everyone who has signed and shared Brandon’s petition. I want to provide a detailed update so our community knows why this case matters.Brandon has been detained since December 17, 2023, and still has not received a full trial or a meaningful opportunity to defend himself. This month marks over 25 months in jail waiting for basic due process.During this time, we have uncovered serious concerns about how his case has been handled:Conflicting Police Reports:Two different narratives appear in the official record regarding the timeline, location of evidence, and sequence of events. When basic facts about where an item was found or when officers entered do not match, it raises legitimate legal questions that the courts should address — not ignore.Missing or Unproduced Evidence:Body-worn camera footage was stated to be active during the incident, yet it has not appeared in the evidence log. Chain-of-custody documentation for key items is incomplete or inconsistent. These aren’t small mistakes — they go to the heart of fairness in the justice system.Delay and Lack of Transparency:Brandon has waited more than two years for progress, with no clear court schedule, no appropriate case status hearings, and no resolution. Delays on this scale can violate the Sixth Amendment right to a speedy trial and basic due process. We are asking for the public’s help to get attention on Brandon’s case. We believe that sunlight and community awareness are the best tools we have right now.We are not asking for special treatment — we are asking for fair treatment. Please continue to sign, share, and talk about Brandon’s situation. The more people who know, the harder it becomes for this case to be ignored.Thank you all for supporting our family and for caring about fairness in our justice system.
