Demand Investigation into Witchcraft Practices Harmful to Citizens

Demand Investigation into Witchcraft Practices Harmful to Citizens
The Issue
This is a call for justice for the victim and their family, who are devastated by what they perceive as cruel witchcraft practices. The victim's mother, Naomi Cook, was unfortunately claimed by these practices, and the victim along with family members have had to suffer disgrace and identity misuse. The victim alleges that Santie Louise Botha sold their family's identities to witchcraft covens for personal gain.
In South Africa, certain individuals have been accused of exploiting belief systems and manipulating faiths such as Islam to hide their alleged witchcraft practices. This is not a critique on Islam or any religion; it's a demand to end exploitational practices hurting families such as ours. The claim that our identities are being used in these activities is not just personally damaging but infringes on our basic human rights.
Unfounded accusations and harmful practices rooted in sorcery and witchcraft constitute a serious problem across many African countries. In 2009, a survey by Pew Research Centre found that belief in witchcraft remains widespread across the continent, causing harm and fear in communities. And with the ever-growing interconnection of the world, such practices are believed to extend even to influential figures and presidents.
Freedom of governance should not be achieved at the expense of innocent citizens. We stand against the alleged assertion that leaders, including presidents, are sacrificing people in their own nations for power. We demand accountability and transparency.
We respectfully demand a thorough investigation into these allegations, with a focus on restoring our names, protecting our identities, and ensuring our safety. It is our human right not to be exploited or live in fear.
We plead for everyone who reads our story to stand with us. We deserve the validation of our struggles and it is high time institutions took victims of such allegations seriously. No one else should have to live with this trauma and fear. Please sign this petition and demand justice for those affected. This is the face of the perpetrator Santie louise Botha who had sold our souls for money. She has lost my bachelor degree and her job already.
