As a parent whose children have faced numerous challenges with the current special education program in the Weld Re-4 School District, I stand for families struggling with the system for a better life for their children. My struggle with the program is personal. My children, along with many others, have suffered under a system that shows negligence, lack of communication, and little respect for the families fighting for their child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 plans; and I believe Jennifer, a person who has a significant role in managing these programs, is accountable.
