Demand Immediate Removal of Recalled ByHeart Formula from All Stores

The Issue

At least 31 babies in 15 states have been hospitalized with infant botulism linked to ByHeart infant formula—a recalled product that, outrageously, is still being found on store shelves weeks later.

Infant botulism can paralyze babies. It can kill. And yet, even after a nationwide recall, state officials in Oregon, Minnesota, and Arizona have confirmed that ByHeart formula was still being sold in stores—including major national chains. This isn’t just an oversight. It’s reckless and dangerous.

Parents rely on stores like Walmart, Target, and local grocers to keep unsafe products off shelves—especially when it comes to feeding newborns. But more than 200,000 cans of ByHeart formula were distributed, and the recall hasn’t been enforced fast or forcefully enough.

We demand the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), state health departments, and all retail chains that sold ByHeart formula take the following immediate actions:

  • Enforce immediate, in-person sweeps of every store location and distribution center to ensure all recalled formula is removed.
  • Issue fines and penalties for any retailers that continue to stock recalled products.
  • Launch a national awareness alert to reach caregivers who may unknowingly still have ByHeart formula at home.

Every hour a recalled product stays on a shelf is another chance a baby could suffer—or die.

We cannot let corporate carelessness, weak enforcement, or retail inaction put more children at risk.

Sign this petition to demand all remaining recalled formula is removed—now—before another baby gets hurt.
