Happy Saturday! We have 66,812 signatures and 347,031 petition views! Please share this petition with your neighbors and family. The more the numbers, louder the 1 voice! We can make a difference! Make sure people read the updates - as I want everyone to be informed.
On a personal note, I care about you all! I truly mean this from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for the emails and IM's. I love to hear from you, and I personally feel your struggle. Thanks for reading my updates. I never thought this petition would get this far but I am happy you're here for the journey!
Next week it will be 2 months (started on July 28). It has drawn so much media attention and I am happy it did. I have a full-time job so it’s a little rough getting back to everyone in a timely manner, keeping up with the latest and verifying information before posting.
THE LATEST
There really hasn’t been any movement on this endeavor since that last update with the Rally and Majority leaders’ Loony and Duff publicly belittled our outrage with their stupid immature comment.
It’s obvious that the current administration doesn’t care. They can’t feel the pain because they never struggled financially in life. They are disconnected from real, everyday, citizens of Connecticut.
They are fixated on this one Green Energy Project that was brought to them by Murphy, Blumenthal, and the current administration of the Federal Government.
Looks like we must endure this tax called Public Benefits until April of 2025. The insane push on EV vehicles to have their goal of no (ZERO) gas engine vehicles on the road now by 2035.
UNPLUGGED! The $7 billion tax in your electric bill - THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE ARTICLE TO DATE BY CII Investigator
THE CII Investigator’s own Marc E Flitch really did an outstanding job explaining all the intricacy of this current crisis in his latest article Sept 15, 2024. All the information we have uncovered and more! Must Read. This will blow your mind.
We have been taxed since 2000 at the tune of 7 billion dollars!! It was hidden from us. The article is articulate and to the point. Please set yourself some time and read it. It is detailed. I suggest an adult beverage to ease the pain : )
In part it reads “Between 2004 and 2024, Connecticut families have contributed roughly $7 billion to government programs and policies through their electric payments – and that is likely a conservative estimate”.
“Total it all up and Connecticut ratepayers can be expected to pay $528.7 million in a given year through their electric bill for policy decisions and programs implemented by lawmakers”.
The article continues “The Lamont administration wants Connecticut to be more reliant on electricity, whether through heat pumps or electric vehicles, and they want that electricity to be clean and renewable. But if Connecticut has a long-term plan for generating more supply to create that electricity at a lower cost, it has yet to materialize.”
YANKEE INSTITUTE
Mehgan Portfolio’s latest article from the Yankee Institute: She touches on The Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV). Here is CTLCV’s Facebook page. (2.2K followers)
Mehgan writes “The emission standards, which failed to pass this past legislative session, would introduce regulations requiring all vehicles sold starting in 2035 to be zero-emission like electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrids.
"It’s clear these lawmakers are fully committed to imposing California’s emissions mandates, ignoring the significant concerns around affordability and practicality.
This push persists despite strong opposition from Connecticut residents, who largely rejected the government’s plan to phase out gas-powered vehicles during the last legislative session."
Connecticut Voters Overwhelmingly Oppose State Ban of Gas-Powered Vehicles!
Additionally, 40-75% of new trucks would be expected to meet the zero-emission standard. If adopted, the state would effectively ban the sale of new gas-powered cars and trucks”.
Sen. Christine Cohen (D-Guilford) enthusiastically endorsed the proposal, claiming she is “eager to return to the legislature to continue this fight for common sense and effective solutions to the carbon emissions from the transportation cycle.”
Sen. Jan Hochadel (D-Meriden) acknowledged the hefty price tag that comes with “vehicles that are best for the environment,”
Rep. Christopher Rosario (D-Bridgeport) said he would back the plan “as long as measures are taken to address these concerns and make the transition to cleaner vehicles accessible and affordable for all.”
Rep. Anne Hughes (D-Easton) “begged leadership and Governor for inclusion of these in Special Session,” signaling just how aggressively she is pushing for California’s green mandates to become Connecticut law.
Rep. Rachel Khanna (D-Greenwich), claims that “Connecticut cannot afford to adopt looser emission standards,” due to high levels of particle pollution and ozone in her district. She is a proponent of Connecticut joining other northeastern states in adopting California’s stringent regulations.
The full list of candidates have been endorsed by CTLCV that contribute to our insane electric bill.

VOTE THESE PEOPLE OUT!!
We will be paying the highest electric bill in the nation if these people continue in office after November!
FLASHBACK 2016 FLORIDA WILL BE UNDERWATER!
Don't you remember they say Florida will be under water by global warming? Read this commentary from Key West Newspaper from May 18, 2016
In part it reads “According to Al Gore– and many climate scientists– the Earth is warming, and the polar ice caps are melting, and this is causing– and will be causing– sea level increases all around the world."
"And, they say, the cause of the warming is greenhouse gases being generated by the human population’s continuing use of fossil fuels. And so, they say, we have got to do something about it or, within just a few years, civilization as we know it will be changed forever! "
Well, that didn't happen! Florida still there. Nothing changed in 8 years except I am grayer on top!
MINING LITHIUM
What about the picture in this update? ah....yes… I wanted to know what it takes to extract lithium from the earth for the EV batteries and how it impacts the enviroment. I submitted a search and thousands of these pics came up.
So the premise is: CO2 emissions will destroy the earth but this is how our leaders propose to save the earth?
Mining produces CO emissions. Yes, its lower than a car. Click on this link if you are interested in reading more. Particularly in hard rock mining, for every tonne of mined lithium, 15 tonnes of CO2 are emitted into the air.
In part it reads "Though emissions deriving from mining these two elements are lower than those deriving from fossil fuels production, the extraction methods for lithium and cobalt can be very energy intensive – leading to air and water pollution, land degradation, and potential for groundwater contamination."
This is the result to our planet earth with lithium is being mined. Lithium mining is a key part of the supply chain for electric vehicle (EV) batteries, but the process is environmentally damaging and controversial.
My last update stated that the future holds many tech advances, like hydrogen powered cars. This is not the way to save the planet.
Save a tree - Save the planet!
Do you remember this saying? 😊 I am dating myself now. Yes, its back from the 70's and 80's because trees produce O2 oxygen and absorbs CO2. Lets review.
Photosynthesis is a biological process where plants and certain bacteria use sunlight energy to convert carbon dioxide (CO) and water into glucose (sugar) and oxygen. Plants absorb CO and produce oxygen.
Trees are widely considered the best carbon capture technology currently available, as they naturally absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through photosynthesis and store it in their wood and tissues, effectively acting as a carbon sink.
CT NBC reported on June 28th 2024 Gov. Ned Lamont on Thursday was officially ordered to replant more than 180 trees and thousands of bushes that were chopped down in November on property behind the Democrat's Greenwich home by the Greenwich Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency.
Would this be an action Gov Lamont would take if he really cared about the planet?
Seems like they are pushing this EV on us, having us to pay for it, and not following their own example as Lamont drives around in a Chevy Suburban? In fact, how many of these legislators actually own EV vehicles? Please let me know.
Final Note:
California is a mess. We all know it is. If Connecticut continues to follow to be exactly like California, we will have unsustainable living costs, extreme gas prices (to make up for the EV infrastructure, rebates, and tax-exempt givebacks), electricity, and people will be forced out of their homes and communities and homeless will be everywhere. Yes, it’s that serious! That's what Connecticut will look like in 2035?
"I am not a climate scientist. But I am educated enough to recognize the sheer arrogance of man assuming that he (or she) can, somehow, change what Mother Nature is going to do." Dennis Reeves Cooper
