Our church community located in Pocomoke City, MD, USA, is experiencing a deeply personal crisis. In just a year's time, our youth pastor, Brett Truit, with his unconventional and ineffective teaching methods, has driven out a significant number of long-time members. This upheaval has not only left our church empty and dry, but has also completely devastated the close-knit relationships that once held our youth group together.

Since Pastor Truit's arrival, arbitrary rules and regulations have crushed the spirit of our young members. Additionally, his immature approach and offensive opinions have largely contributed to an environment where learning and growth seem impossible. Majority of the congregation (around 80% or more) have expressed their dislike for his methods but remain silent out of civility.

Our once warm, welcoming youth group has turned into a distressingly barren gathering that many of us no longer take pleasure in attending. This is not just an affront to our values, but it's an impediment to our spiritual development.

We understand the importance of patient and thoughtful leadership, especially when it comes to guiding the younger generation. We believe that a pastor should inspire, teach, and unite their church community, not fragment and devastate it. Thus, we ask the relevant authorities to heed our concerns and remove Pastor Brett Truit from his position, so we can rebuild our congregation and restore harmony in our spiritual quest.
