I am a resident of Coshocton, OH, USA and I am deeply concerned with the recent developments at our local Coshocton County Humane Society (CCHS). Emergency calls from hurt, neglected, and abandoned animals are seemingly ignored, the allocation of funds is unclear, and there has been a refusal to take actions that directly help the animals under its care. Rather, it appears that the main focus has shifted towards saving money for a new building - a necessity that pales in comparison to the immediate need for animal welfare.

Neglect is not the only issue. We, as a community, have been kept in the dark. Requested board meetings with the public have been consistently denied. As transparency continues to dwindle, our trust in current leadership is quickly eroding. These circumstances paint a depressing picture of an institution that should be the beacon of hope and safety for animals in distress.

It is against this background that I call on the relevant authorities to enact a change in the CCHS Board. There is a glaring need for new board members who are transparent, accountable, and above all dedicated to placing animal welfare at the heart of their mission.

I urge everyone who cares about our community and the welfare of our animals to sign this petition. Let’s send a powerful message demanding New Board Members for Coshocton County Humane Society.
